In order to request Rental Protection through Zillow Insurance Services, you’ll need to verify that the combined income of all the renters on the lease is equal to at least two times the monthly rent. If the renter receives housing assistance, they’ll need a voucher that covers the full rent amount or a sufficient combination of housing assistance and income. See more information about housing assistance
Zillow Insurance Services doesn’t review income documents and doesn’t verify renter income eligibility. If you’re not able to verify that the applicant meets the income requirements for Rental Protection, you won’t be able to request Rental Protection coverage through Zillow Insurance Services. You can still decide to rent your property to any renter through Zillow Rental Manager, even if you decide not to request Rental Protection.
