If the renter receives housing assistance, you’ll need to review their voucher payment standard to ensure the renter has a sufficient combination of housing assistance and income so that the renter’s income is at least equal to twice the monthly rent amount after the housing assistance has been applied.
For example, if rent is $1,000/month and the renter has housing assistance worth $300/month, the renter is responsible for $700 in rent and must make at least $1,400 in monthly income.
If the renter’s housing assistance is enough to cover the full month’s rent, please reach out to rentalprotection@zillowinsuranceservices.com for questions on coverage and eligibility requirements.
