Below, we've outlined some potential causes and solutions to help ensure your single-family feed listings are successfully syndicated onto Zillow, Trulia, and Hotpads.
Posting a new listing or making changes to an existing one can take up to 24 hours to post or update your listing. In some cases, it might take an additional day or two before your listing is made public for everyone to view.
Zillow's policy only permits one listing per address. If the property is also listed “for sale” and the for-sale listing wasn't removed from Zillow, your rental listing will not be posted.
Ensure your address is correctly formatted. If you're unsure, you can visit usps.com and search for the address there.
Invalid Contact Email Address
The email address entered in the listing associated with the assigned property manager should be valid. If the email addresses aren't valid, the listings will not post properly onto our sites.
Certain information is required for syndicated sites to accept your listing, including:
- Rental price
- Number of bedrooms
- Number of bathrooms
- Property description
- Street address
- Manager contact information (phone and email address)
Violation of our “Good Neighbor” or “Zillow Listing Quality” policies
We are committed to helping everyone find their way home and are dedicated to ensuring everyone is treated fairly and respectfully.
Zillow Rental Listing Syndication is designed for residential properties only. Zillow does not post any commercial listings.
Zillow requires all photos to have a minimum resolution of 415 width x 330 height pixels. Photos smaller than this size will not syndicate.
Incorrect Availability Dates
Ensure your rental listing dates are current and that "today" falls between the two listing dates.
Restrictions on Multi-family Listings
Zillow considers properties with 25 units or more as large multi-family listings, which require a paid listing. In addition, property names and unit numbers need to be descriptive and not contain internal codes for the listings to be published.
