The status of your lease agreement within Zillow Rental Manager impacts how you are able to modify it.
Canceling an active lease
You can update the status of a currently active lease agreement to “Canceled” by managing it Zillow Rental Manager. To do this, log into your Zillow Rental Manager account and select the property you want to update. Click on the “Leases” tab to view your lease agreements for this property. Next to your active lease agreement you should see a button with “...”. Clicking that will bring up a short menu where you can change the lease status from Active to Canceled.
Please note - Canceling a lease in Zillow Rental Manager does not represent a legal termination nor a notice of termination. It is simply meant for you to organize your Zillow Rental Manager account in cases where the original lease term will not be completed.
Canceling the signing of a draft lease
If a lease has been sent for signing, you can cancel it before all parties sign. To do so, log into your Zillow Rental Manager account and select the property with the in-progress lease signing that you want to cancel. Next, click on the “Leases” tab and click the button with “...” to open a short menu.
Deleting a lease agreement
You can delete a draft lease agreement, but you may not delete signed leases (including future and past lease terms). To delete a lease agreement, log into your Zillow Rental Manager account and select the property with the lease you want to delete. Select the “Leases” tab and click the “...” button to open a short menu where you will be able to delete the lease agreement. If the option to delete is not present then the lease is not eligible for deletion.
