Background report displays as unavailable when the applicant does not enter a social security number. If a user does not have an SSN they can still submit an application, go through ID verification, and request a credit report, but will not be able to request or create a background check report. If your renter wants to include their SSN to generate a report, please see this article on how to help them troubleshoot.
If the report shows as delayed, this means Checkr, our background report provider, may need more information. Please have your renter visit https://applicant.checkr.com/ to provide the requested additional information and check the status of their report. If requirements for a delayed report are unmet after 7 days, the report will display a Suspended status until further action has been taken at https://applicant.checkr.com/.
