After sharing your lease for e-Signing, all renters will receive an email notification with a link to sign the lease. All renters will need to sign the lease before you or any co-landlords can sign. You will receive an email notification when each renter signs.
After all renters have signed the lease, the co-landlord will be sent an email with a link to countersign. The co-landlord can use the link in this email to countersign. If you don’t have a co-landlord on the lease, you will be able to sign the lease as soon as all renters have signed.
After all renters and the co-landlord have signed, you will receive a notification email that the lease is ready for you to sign. You will need to sign into the Zillow account that was used to upload or create the lease, then visit the Leases section of your listing in Zillow Rental Manager. Click Sign lease, and you will be prompted to sign.
Troubleshooting common issues:
- If the renters or the co-landlord have trouble finding the email with the link to sign, please double-check that the email was entered correctly in the Lease signer section of the lease. If the email was entered correctly, they should check their spam and junk folders, as sometimes emails are caught in spam filters.
- Each renter needs to be logged into their Zillow account that is linked to their email address entered on the lease in order to sign.
If the Start signing button can’t be clicked, the lease signer has likely not reviewed the whole lease document first. Every lease signer will need to scroll through the entire lease document to review the lease. After reviewing the whole lease document, the Start signing button can be clicked.
